About Grayson

Grayson James Coe is a pianist, composer, and performer from Clarkston, Michigan. He is currently studying Jazz & Contemporary Improvisation at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance.

​

Grayson began playing viola at age nine before discovering the piano at eleven. Largely self-taught during his early years, he developed his musical voice through composition, recording, and countless hours at the piano. He later attended Interlochen Arts Academy, graduating in 2025 with a focus in jazz piano performance.

His playing draws from jazz, pop, soul, classical, and contemporary music, allowing him to move comfortably between styles and performance settings. His experience includes solo piano, jazz combos and orchestras, popular music ensembles, studio recording, private events, community performances, and live venues throughout Michigan.

Grayson continues to compose, arrange, perform, and collaborate with other musicians while developing a sound that is distinctly his own. He is available for private events, weddings, restaurants, lounges, community events, and other live-performance opportunities throughout Southeast Michigan and beyond.
